Picture

The Adventure...

Come enjoy what Athens County has to offer! Every August, the people of Athens County get together to celebrate the year’s harvest. The county fair is a great place to experience the simpler side of life. With livestock exhibits, horticulture displays, a demolition derby, youth exhibits, truck and tractor pulls, and top name entertainment, rides and games - there is something for everyone!  The fair features all of the fun that you get in a fair plus more! And who can forget about the food? Whether it's a funnel cake or some cotton candy you crave, this fair will have it all!

Getting there is Half the Adventure!

The Athens County Fair takes place annually at the Athens Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds are located along West Union Street in the city of Athens. From US Route 50 / US Route 33 take the State Route 682 / Richland Ave exit. Stay straight on State Route 682 for approximately 1.3 miles and then, at the stop light, turn right onto West Union Street. The fairgrounds are less than a mile down West Union Street on the left.
