Forked Run State Park
The Adventure...
The Ohio River and a picturesque lake characterize Fork Run State Park. The park is a great place to spend a summer afternoon or weekend. With its 400-foot sand beach, it’s a perfect spot to escape the summer heat or soak in some rays. Boating and fishing on the lake are popular activities here at Forked Run. Crappie, largemouth bass, bluegill, and catfish are common catches. The park offers several access points to the Ohio River as well. Three hiking trails provide hikers the opportunity to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Want more? The park features a disc golf course as well as a miniature golf course. Volleyball, horseshoes, and tetherball are available for visitors to enjoy. Other outdoor recreation activities are available at the adjacent Shade River State Forest.
