Morgan County Courthouse

The Adventure...

Located on the square in downtown McConnelsville, the Morgan County Courthouse is considered one of the most beautiful in the state of Ohio. This Greek Classic structure was built in 1858 at a cost of $10,000. A bell was added soon after the building was constructed, in 1866, and was replaced by a tower clock which still strikes on the hour today. The courthouse is open to the public Monday through Friday.
