Mount Olive Covered Bridge

Picture

The Adventure...

The Mount Olive Covered Bridge uses a Queenpost truss system. It spans 48 feet over the Middle Branch Salt Creek. The Queenpost was commonly used for these types of shorter spans and are subsequently less common today as these short spans were easily replaced by advances in engineering technology. Also known as Grand Staff Covered Bridge.
