Wayne National Forest
The Adventure...
Located in the rolling Appalachian foothills, Wayne National Forest consists of over 800,000 acres of mostly wooded land and several lakes and rivers. The forest offers over 300 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, ATV riding, and horseback riding. It is also open to camping, fishing, hunting, canoeing and other recreational activities. Many unique features are located within the park including iron furnaces, covered bridges, and Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) fire towers. Portions of the park are located in Athens, Jackson, Morgan, and Vinton Counties.

There are also many opportunities to hunt squirrel, birds, and turkey on the Forest. An Ohio Hunting License is required.
